Moved to GFX help.
Try using the splatter effect? or get some X shaped brushes - then smudge using a large amount of scatter and add a bit of grunge smudgng? _________________ I am a self confessed Graphics Genius

Right- what i do to get that effect is get a smal-ish brush, then go into the brushes bit in the top right hand corner. Fiddle about around there, especially with the scattering bit. Get it all scattered out nicely, then do little patches on the render
Also what else looks nice is if you make another copy of the render (CTRL+J) then using the eliptical marquee tool i think, take tiny chunks out of the render and scatter them around- that gives a really nice effect
Hope this helped!! _________________
