Full Rules List1. Spamming
If you make a post that is not necessary to a topic it is counted as spam. If you do not feel that your post is 100% necessary simply do not post it or you will be reprimanded for it. If your post is not constructive to a topic do not post it! Posting something that is not about the topic in question is not necessary and therefore should not be posted in the first place.
Posts should contain more than one word. Posting the word ‘lol’ or anything similar when someone has said something funny is spamming and will not be tolerated on the forum.
You should never copy and paste stuff into more than one topic. If you feel that you have placed a topic in the wrong place, simply PM a Moderator or Administrator who will move or remove it for you.
If a Moderator or Administrator has been notified of spamming occuring, then any posts telling someone that they have spammed will also be counted as spam. No more than one person may post that spamming has occured in any thread for any one offence.
Spamming punishments
1st Spamming Offence - 1 reprimand in thread and via PM
2nd Spamming Offence - 24-hour ban
3rd Spamming Offence - 48-hour ban
4th Spamming Offence - 7-day ban
And any further offences could result in a life-time ban dependant upon severity.
2. Avoiding the filter
Swear words have been filtered using a dash (-) . If you avoid the filter, by:-
i) Disguising a swear word so that it can still be read, ;for example, if noob was a filtered word, writing n00b; or
ii) Using asterisks to replace letters, for example writing n**b;
Then you will be banned for 24 hours or longer dependant upon severity.
Note: if you type a full swear word that is not picked up by the filter, please immediately PM a Moderator or Administrator who will filter it and no further action will be taken. If you do not notify anyone, then the above punishment will be dealt.
3.Spamming via Private Message (pm)
If you send a PM that is:
i) Offensive;
ii) Advertising;
Then a reprimand will be given, if this continues then a ban of 24 hours. If this continues after you are unbanned, then a further ban of 48 hours.
Note: A screenshot must be sent to an administrator or moderator as proof of the spam message that you may have received.
4. Click My Link
We have a forum which is dedicated to websites, you may post your link in that forum, or in your signature. If posts are found elsewhere on the forum asking people to click your link, you will be warned. If it happens again, you will receive a ban of 12 hours. If repeated after you have been unbanned, then a further ban of 48 hours will be enforced.
5. Abusing other members
If you abuse other members (by PM or on the Forum) you will receive a 7 day ban. Further action may be taken if it is deemed necessary.
If you feel you have been on the receiving end of such an attack, evidence (screenshot of the message) must be sent to Admin as soon as possible.
6. Hacking
If any attempt is made to hack into the forum a full investigation will take place and your account and IP address will be permanently banned.
7. Posting of obscene material
Either in a topic, your signature or your avatar.
An automatic ban of 72 hours.
If more than one post is made in this manner, then an additional 24 hours ban for each post made will be added to your ban.
Continual posting will result in your account and IP address being banned for life.
8. Six Reprimands and Your Out For Life
If you receive two reprimands within a month, then you will be banned for 48 hours. Any further reprimands will result in another 24 hour ban (increasing by 24 hours for each further reprimand). Once six reprimand have been issued you will be banned for life.
9. Double Posting
You must not post two or more messages in a row in the same topic unless they are at least 24 hours apart. If a message is less than 24 hours apart you will receive a reprimand by PM. Multiple reprimands will result in temporary or life time bans.
10. Making a new account whilst on a ban
If your account has been banned and you create a new account, the new account will be permanently banned and your original account will have an extra 24 hours added to the ban. For each account that is made, an extra 24 hours ban will be added to your original account (all new accounts will be banned for life).
11. Posting Non-constructive Messages on the Forum
We encourage constructive comments on the forums. If you have made a post on a forum that we do not deem to be constructive, we will class it as spamming. The post will be deleted, your post-count will go down and you will receive a reprimand.
12. Unconstructive Criticism of the Forum
Either in a thread, by personal message, in a signature, or in an avatar will result in a ban of 24 hours. You can make constructive ciriticism and comments, however,
13. Copying Another Member's User-name
If you make an account with a user-name purposefully copying another member's user-name, you will be asked to change your name if you don't reply within 24 hours of you being sent a PM by an administrator, your account will be deleted.
14. Bumping Old Topics
Dont post in topics older than 7 days unless you have very good reason to do so, and it is unlikely that you will do. You can tell how old a topic is by seeing the date it was last posted in. If you do this, the topic will be locked. If you 'bump' more than one 7 (or more) day old topic then you will receive a reprimand and that topic will be locked.
15. Requesting Private Information
If you request private information (such as, but not limited to, address or telephone number) from another member who does not wish to give out this information, do not request again.
A further request will be punished by a 7 day ban after being informed via PM.
Further requests will be deemed as putting the member's mental or emotional state at risk and will result in a lifetime account and IP address ban.
These rules and punishments can be altered at any time without prior or other notification to members.
Please abide by these rules, play nicely and help keep the forum a cool place to be.
